Moving Moments that Defy Gravity
Today we tie in LH1's 'Moving Moments' with a piece of art that will defy gravity. Created by Koukichi Sugihara and made out of cardboard, wooden balls and glue. This is the perfect start to some dimension changing music you'll be hearing below this video.
...Now to add to the twisting of your brain, I have the perfect track for this optical illusion. This is "Sitar-ChillStep" and it is out of this world trippy!

Mehbooba Madness
I dont know of anyone else in the Asian Electronica Movement that can rework classics like Nucleya. Bass thumping goodness with a splash of familiarity is 'Mehbooba Madness'. If you have grown up with Bollywood then you will know this tune from 'Sholay' but you will never be able to predict how its going to drop !

Tonights Breaking News 'Sitar-Dubstep'
Good Evening and Tonights 'breaking news'
Sitar-Dubstep
Houston, Texas is where Tha Chintu has his secret music laboratory and in it he experiments with endless Asian inspired samples. This time he has taken samples of India's national broadcaster 'Doordarshan' and its nightly news segments into a sitar-dubstep top story.
When hearing this track its probably the reality of most Asian households today with 3 siblings. The 6PM Asian news is playing in the kitchen , while little sister is taking sitar lessons in the living room. Big brother is upstairs streaming the newest dubstep tune and the youngest sibling is playing with his toy cars in the hallway, completely vibing out to all the sounds. Sitars plucking, dubstep blaring and odd samples of the 6pm Asian news. This is the youngest siblings version of tomorrows music, this is whats going on inside his head.

'Planet Electric' Released Today !
If you have never experienced Delhi 2 Dublin live then this summer might be your chance. The touring road warriors from Vancouver, Canada, just released their 3rd EP 'Planet Electric' and with it comes a very ambitious tour schedule.
"Planet Electric sparkles like a disco ball suspended over the Ganges River"
...and its true, my first listen to 'Planet Electric' was similar to being catapulted into space with the track 'Master Crowley' and just when you think you couldn't possibly get anymore excited, your travelling warp speed with another 12 tracks to finally land in Planet Electric where outer-national sounds of Celtic, Bhangra, Dub and Electronica come together harmoniously.

Ideas are Bulletproof !
Today we celebrate Ideas and they are Bulletproof !
'May Day' is synonymous with the historic achievements of the labour movement. This tradition of voicing change was first sparked in Australia in 1856, with the right to a "workers holiday".
154 years later, that voice for human equality has gotten that much stronger towards the injustices that continue to hinder the progress of humanity as a whole. We point fingers at religion for bloodshed but the true criminal is Usury in Capitalism, the average person will always be in the red with the banks. This is our world ! One which is controlled by the unelected and therefore undeniably undemocratic, the ruling banking elite. Its interesting that between 200 or 300 families control 90% of the worlds wealth.
The thought of change is always a mind expanding experience, much like a parachute in full blown use. Every human has his/her own way of expressing change whether its the photographer shooting a protestor wearing a Guy Fawkes mask or the protester herself whose at the rally.
"For one to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others"
...and some of us choose to express ourselves through music.
So when it came down to ideas for todays blog post, I couldn't but help remember the feeling that Celt Islam gives me from his music while looking at pictures of May Day. So I played his album Dervish and the track "uprising" was the perfect feeling for the above photograph. Uprising feels like the national anthem for a revolution !
